Would you rather buy the most recent new console coming out - whenever it is - or would you rather buy an older video game console? For me I'd rather go for the latter. I'm not enough of a game junkie to want a game so much as to buy it when it comes out. If I want to play games, I'd rather just save some money and buy an outdated console (e.g. the original PlayStation) and some older games. I'd still have fun, probably more because I may be familiar with some of the games.

yeah, me too.
My husband laughs at me because of the fact that there are such cool graphics and functions/features in new game consoles and I like good ole tetris. I installed a cereal box 80's arcade classics game on my computer a while back and had a blast with Asteroids and Pac Man. Big L over my forehead, haha.

I have a PS2 and a PS1, but I'm not going to get any of the new consoles (PS3, box 360, Wii etc) because they're too expensive/I have no need for them
I'm also a bit of a retro junkie, I have an old Atari system and a Sega Gamegear The only new games I buy are for PC, and occasionaly for the PS2, but not very often |
