i start with phpBB for my race forum.
now the million dollar question. inmagine in a mounth or two i like to switch to vbulletin. is this possible? without problems? do i loose al my posts? do i forget something important? please give me your advice and comments.

You can easily upgrade. I am sure vB allows you to get your posts from phpBB.

Yep, you can convert your phpbb to vbulletin with everything on it (ie. posts, attachments, and members). The only problem though is the link. I mean, the links to those post will be different. So if you are planning to make an index of threads on phpbb, then those links will no longer work in vB.
