Default Do You Work On Your Own Forum

Some forum owners just hire moderators and stand-in admins to run their forums, rather than run their own. I prefer to work in my own. Obviously, I use volunteer moderators, but other than that I do all the admin.

It depends on the volume of visitors and posts you receive.

I run my support forum on my own, while another forum has one other admin and mod.

It's advisable actually to have moderators coz they also help your forum active and they can maintain harmony within your forum.

That's the exact reason I'm actually reconsidering and going to probably remove the idea of forum sections on my sites. The time involved vs. the return on that time investment doesn't quite add up.

I only own one forum and there i am doing it myself. It is pretty big but there are a few users who keep their eyes open and contact me whenever there's a problem. They are doing it for free, just because they like the forum, and their behaviour is very helpful for me.

I've always gotten people to help with moderating and still done the same job myself. I'm not going to try to tackle that huge job all by myself.

But right now, I have no forums of my own.

some members always follow the lead from the head admin. they tend to look for him since he is and should be the leader of the community.

its hard to do that when you own 5 or 6 forums. staying active is a full time job lol
