When upgrading, usually you can perserve your forum data. What about if you want to change software, such as a jump from SMF to phpBB, or from phpBB to vBulletin, etc. Is anything like that ever possible.

Forum Management

Most forum software will provide utilities for importing data from other forum softs. Either built in, or as stand-alone utils.
I know SMF has utils for converting from just about any other Forum Software. vBulletin is the same, I believe.
