there are a lot of diferent kind of forum? swf, vbulletin, phpbb......
which is the best to manage?

We have other sections for such questions :) , but still you need to be much detailed.. Free or paid? Want a forum hosting service or want to host on your own web host.. You can checkout this free forum which you'll need to host on your own web servers..

I am going to have to say that if you have the money for it vB is the best but if you are a tight budget or no budget then you should go with phpbb. It does have some security issues but it is still the best free forum software out there. Or atleast I think so.

It is mainly about what do you need and what you have, but overall I think vbulletin is the best.

vbulletin is the most familiar to me but smf forums are also easy to work with.

vB is hands down the best out there. In my opinion of course.

VB is good but in terms on going into free , SMF is the best, the only odd thing is the Search Engine Optimization friendly URLS.

And if you don't want to invest anything and want a good to go forum then just try the one i mentioned :) .. I've used this forum once and it has enough features, but you need to keep a link to their site if you are planning to use it!

vB for paid, SMF for free.

phpBB has too many security issues and is a really badly designed software. There is always something cropping up and they keep releasing updates.
