So I had a problem with my nameservers so I decided to contact NameCheap support.
After about 3 days, my nameservers still didn't update.
They responded within a few minutes saying how it's my fault because .com domains always update almost immediately.
They were just pretty quick to blame it all on me, they were so sure it had nothing to do with them.
Coincidentally, after I complained to them and told them that this wasn't the first time the nameservers took forever to update with them, everything with my nameservers seemed fine.
My domain redirected properly and everything.
Weird...

Well, I'm pretty sure that they are a Directi Reseller. Go and file a complaint :)
You may want to buy from a registrar directly. NameCheap has to run to directi every time they have a support issue, because they don't have any actual control.

Yah, I know but this means that the response I'm getting is from the actual registrar.

I've always loved namecheap, they beat godaddy , at least in my opinion, but, their major flaw is ofcourse as you mentioned, they aren't a registrar, just a direct reseller. So my question to y'all is, do you know any other registrar that is as simple / cheap / fast as namecheap? I wouldn't mind changing.

Dotster is very simple and they provide great support. I've always liked them.

I have domains from Namecheap. Never had a problem with them. Always fast and reliable with their support. Recently I just transferred one domain from GoDaddy to Namecheap, was fast and easy.

I never experienced bad thing with namecheap and the best with them, they have a service in bulk mode where we can get many domains at very cheap price.. u might be considering this for your proxy business...

Support for anything these days seems to be leaning toward a "In the eye of the beholder" scenario.

I only have problems with them when it comes to the live support.
Everything else is fine and I prefer them over almost any other registrar.

Stick with godaddy, they have the best domain registration service as far as I know.
