Type 1 : the domain name will resolve to another page containing relevant content, advertising and stuff
Type 2 : placeholder of an existing web site Type 3 : you don't use them, but keep them because one day you want to use or sell them |

A lot of people pay for advertising on parked domains because it tends to bring a lot of traffic. The only problem with that is the traffic is usually low quality and you end up wasting your money...in most cases anyway.

domain parking is the present hot item on the web now a days you need to ad the companies nameserver to your domains and then whenever someone visits your domain it is directed to the page of the domaiin parking companies page where it contains ads on it and if the visitor clicks the ad you get paid for it .domain parking is the good way of earning with the domains you are not working with now .
some of the domain parking sites are SEDO,GOLDKEY,GODADDY ETC |

it depends upon the domain name and thus the ads that match your domain name and the keywords associated with the name it merely startys from any 0.03 $ to a maximum noit sure about it till now but yes you can have good revenue from domain parking if your domain is of a good keyword name.
