Drupal is a content management system that has a very modular architecture - every content in it is a node, and absolutely everything is configurable to ones needs. It has a set of basic modules that come as core modules and has loads of other modules. There is also a large community that can be relied on for support. Also, there are professional support available from induviduals as well as companies. It provides support for the latest of the two main versions always.
