Ok then, normally when you have your ultra-modern norton antivirus or internet security installed ( which'll definetly eat up most of your system resources ) .. or some active adware/spyware scanners, you run a quick scan using some program like Adware-se and end up finding lots of adwares/spywares in your PC .. thats because stuff like detect and delete is'nt working so good for adware or spywares.. they keep on running in the background and you don't even realize that in the comfort of your malware remover!
So just install the following scanners/removers and i gurantee you your PC will be malware free .. REMEMBER from malwares i meant Adwares/Spywares & Viruses .. not other stuff like Trojans e.t.c .. *Install AVG Antivirus ( FREE ) & update it with the latest definitions .. AVG Free Advisor: Free anti-virus, anti-spyware and anti-malware tools *Install Spyware Terminator & update with the latest definitions .. Spyware Terminator - Download *Install WinPatrol .. BillP Studio: WinPatrol Download *Install Adware-SE & update with the latest definitions .. AdWare SpyWare SE - User reviews and free download at Download.com *Run complete scans with AVG Antivirus and Spyware Terminator and Adware-SE *Make sure auto-updates are enabled for all the scanners besides WinPatrol Now with AVG Antivirus you already have good enough automated security against viruses.. but to keep your PC clean from adwares or spywares the remaining two programs need to pop up whenever you install a new software or whenever a possible threat is 'sensed' .. Read the file/application name properly and make your choice i.e. Accept or Decline.. To make it simple, if you are not installing anything and you get a popup from one of the scanners then just hit Decline.. ( as that won't cause ANY harm ) , your scanner is continuously monitoring any activities going in your system for any suspicious changes both visible or in background and displaying those popups so don't ignore or blindy hit any as one of them maybe a malware.. Rules will be set and loaded automatically for certain programs as you keep on using these scanners for handling your PC's background activities. Now use your PC for few days and then run your Adware-SE or whatever you want to scan your pc for spywares or anything and it'll show a 'TOTAL CLEAR' result.. |

Or.....
Install Linux :) Jamie (I am aware that there are a few malicious programs that do attack linux but they are less common and there are several more effective ways to protect against them)

I used to do that lik every week: defragment, run adware and AVG, but then i lost that habit, which made my pc extremly slow, and its getting worse and worse. There's also something good and useful, called registry fixer. It cleans deleted programs regists.

the ones from lavasoft are what i am using and having no problem so far including the PC speeds since some of those spyware, adware blockers are slowing the PC. As for antivirus, I just used Sophos, a few months ago it was F-secure.
