Well....

Once really when I set up my linux partition. Never gone back..>Although me and my firend have recently got into OS dev and um the thing has been rewritten about 500 times so far :)

windows 95 to 98 to xp, back to 98, back to xp, back to 98, back to xp.
LOL.
Some xp service releases fixed things so I've been able to stay at XP for a long time now.

Win98 I could expect to do it at least 3-4 times a year.

WinXP (pro) has only been setup twice on my machine since it came out. (Yes, my machine is somewhat antiquated, but still does all I need it to!) Initial install lasted until my HD blew up. I have been running on the current install for about a year and a half now.

too scared to now, i tried installing the os on another pc but the serial wouldnt work. im worried if i format this,the serial wont work since its old i guess. (1 year?)

hmm to me, since i got a ATI graphics card, everytime i format PC, when i get the 1st screen, where it asks the usernames of PC and admin, it wont load, and if i restart PC when i get in windows the screen gets blue. I can't use it properly until i install win XP sp2

Blue Screens, those are my horrible memories for win 98/me.. nothing like that since i'am here with XP! ;)
