I am using Xp in my system now, I really would like to use Linux but no knowledge on all their system, I just heard of the good things running in Linux. Windows is almost everywhere, thus you dont have to worry about compatibility issues, patch is always there for bug fixes.

You should try ubuntu linux. It's free and they send you free installation cds. It's also as easy as windows really. Even much simpler when it comes to customizing it.

And yes I am a linux lover. I've got a couple of red hat servers and use ubuntu as my main system. Even though from time to time I dual boot to windows wehn I encounter compability issues in programs and websites.

Thank You

this is going to sound funny but I liked os/2 the best.
It was the first really good system where you could multi-task.
When I first started in the IT industry as a teenager in the early 90's I used to run around and use empty desks in the office to run multiple programs at a time (a report here, a report there, do data entry somewhere else , read email somewhere else. After hours was great for productivity because I could use other people's computers)
When os/2 came out, I became SO productive so I guess it has a soft spot for me.

Linux would be the best if Windows played fair by EU laws. Microsoft dominate the market and, well it would be like some fuel company saying ''im not telling you where the oil is'' so no one else can fuel cars. its unfair market domination
