Default Dell laptop or MacBook?

I've just quit my job and joining another company. They'll be providing me with either a Dell laptop or a MacBook, whichever is my preference. I'm a Web Designer and I mainly use Adobe/Macromedia softwares. I've always been a Windows user so I'm a bit hesitant to get the MacBook.

Please share your insights.

If it's a Macbook Pro, go with the MBP because it's really good and will serve your Adobe/Macromedia needs easily. Dell laptops tend to be buggy from my experiences. Over here, they just recalled a recent batch due to faulty batteries.

If I had to choose, I'd probably go for the MacBook. I've never had a Mac, but I've really only heard good things... especially in regard to their capabilities for graphic design and gaming.

Be careful with Dell, they had those exploading batteries. ;)

I'd probably go with Dell because I'm not used to Mac. However, if I was getting the laptop from an employer, maybe I'd just say "what-the-heck" and get the Mac.
