What antivirus program do you run?
I personally no long run any. I think it is pointless since most of the crap out there now is spyware and as long as you have your pc patched and make good choices you are fine. |

When I first got on the internet (1997), I found a nice little free antivirus program by a german software company. Today, its known as Avira AntiVir.
I can sit here and honestly say that I have never been a victim of a virus attack. Between this and my nerdy approach to caution I have been safe. I will continue to use AntiVir until it lets me down.

i use mcAfee all the time. i've first used it on my first job as an IT staff and i guess i just got used to it. plus, it's user friendly and easy to update so... i've used..or rather, i've installed norton on other computers but for personal use, i go with mcAfee.

i have probably tried every possible antivir prog. there is.
Let me tell you my opinions on some of them Bit Defender - Very good and functional antivirus program, using too much computer resources from time to time. Norton AntiVirus - Works ok, but when I execute some other big applications it sometimes caused them to halt! Kaspersky - Lightweight, robust, and efficient, ididn't really protect my pc from spyware though. nod32 - One of the best i've tried, and still use. Works awesomely and efficiently, low resource usage. My personal favorite. |

Good job SMF For Free. Finally a person who thinks like me. When I was in this whole comp. biz back in 1998 I used to sell myself as a "virus scanner" ;) I used some DOS Scan or something like that and people paid me for that. (actually, I literally worked on the machines for hours sometimes) But my opinion, if you are careful enough, you won't get viruses.
( if I won't be here tomorrow, I either died or my computer got infected ;) )
