Default Microsoft Announces it's new Browser

After much silence, Microsoft announced the other day the new name of their upcoming browser.

Yup! Looks like "Microsoft Internet Explorer 8" or "IE8" (How original!)

There had been speculation that the naming convention for the browser was going to change. One other name that was floating around was IE1000 (think binary)

Let just hope it features Open Compliance, and not just Microsoft Compliance. Although IE7 was a good step in the right direction, there are still many compliance issues with that browser. If you are a web developer, then you'll know what I'm talking about.

Here's hoping they'll get it right this time...

Yea, still a FF fan here as well.

It's easier to develop for FF then tweak for IE than it is to develop in IE and tweak for FF. IMO

I love the new IE8 web browse. Espacially the multitab function like FireFox. I am using both for my daily internet activities.

I'm thinking you mean IE7....

IE8 is the next version, not due out for some time yet...

No matter how many new version does microsoft announce, as long as they do not improve their security and usability, i feel that everyone will be slowly moving to firefox, no matter how glossy you make it!

Well, they did make some good improvements to IE7... perhaps they will finish that job with IE8.

...hopefully...
