Did you install the right RAM there are diffrent kinds only 1 will work with your computer. DDR is one cant think of the others.

well you should check the type of ram and also what your mother board is capable of, also if you remove the ram does the pc work again? if not then you might have damaged something in the process of putting that ram which is unlikely unless you opened the and put the ram while the power plug was still connected.

You can also damage the RAM from static charge (the charge you get by rubbing your feet on the ground then touching someone or a metal object). Like joey said does it work if you take it out? How big is the RAM if it is bigger than is supported by your motherboard it will not work.

also try checking if your graphic card was moved a bit while you put the ram, so put and insure that it is perfectly in. the screen showing nothing means though that it is connected to the pc which does not explain why you see a blackscreen unless the graphic card maybe has been damaged in someway.

I think you must have inserted the wrong RAM.Ask a computer expert to do it for you.Or you must have moved the graphic card a bit.Check all the plugs,chips in the motherboard once more.If there is no improvement,you should consider calling an expert
