I'm not entirely sure how they are doing it but I think the games will be X9/X10 compatible meaning if you have XP then you can still play play the X10 games. Another way would be they release 2 versions of the game a XP version and a Vista version. Wouldn't be much different than what they do with gaming consoles.

that would be too costy i think, releasing 2 versions of the games for newer and older os :s, but all we can do is wait an see, and besides, until games officially support direct x 10, there is no use discussing this or getting vista for that reason.

They do the same with console games. They are already making games for Vista.

at release a a list of titles are put for the console, as consoles are different than pcs, however good consoles also try to put the best backwards computability they can. ps2 supports most ps1 games at release and ps3 too (ofcourse for some reason their European version of ps3 is said to have a less computability with older games, but never the less, it still can for many.) consoles from nintendo also started having backwards computability.

Still, XP works normally and don't plan to upgrade to Vista. Maybe I'll get Vista after 1 year.

1. Better security for your computer less viruses. Even though if your careful you don't get them.
2. While it may be new it is by far the best OS Windows has produced.
3. Loads of new features to help you with your work.
4. There are different versions of Vista: Home Basic, Home Premium, Business Basic, Business Premium, and Ultimate
5. It's graphics are amazing. (Not really a reason but nice to have)
6. While it may be buggy SP1 for Vista coming out in the second half of the year I believe promises more features and of course any fixed bugs there are.

I know none of those reasons sound good enough to buy it but you won't regret upgrading. If you have any questions about it just ask me. I love my Vista.
All this is true.
Yeah, I will get Windows Vista soon.
