I'm getting a new system in the coming weeks which will likely have Vista installed.
Otherwise, I would have waited until SP1...

I don't know if this will work but there is a way to run the games under XP compatibility mode so that might make the games work. I don't know how much research went into that list I just got it from a website.

there problem is that i heard about games not working on xp before hearing the list from you, and having a list just confirms it a bit more, also if they would have worked under xp computability, then they would just have written so. also putting it on xp computability does not mean it will work, nor did that always help when playing a game that does not run under xp by putting it to 98

Well a lot of people don't know about it that's one thing. I used a compatibility mode when I used XP for a few old games I decided to play worked for me then. I used XP compatibility mode a couple weeks ago on 3DS Max since it doesn't work on Vista I tried the XP mode and it loaded up but just wouldn't run. So either that is still buggy or its because it only runs on DirectX9 when Vista uses 10.

I mean ultimately it is your choice but eventually most everyone will upgrade. Prices aren't coming down anytime soon. Another good reason to upgrade is the new game coming out will be using DirectX10 so they will look even more real than they already do.

well it is never good to rush it and besides, wouldnt direct x 10 come on xp too? it would stupid if not because they are supposed to support xp for a while longer, and if the games require dx10 then it should come for xp too.
