What I mean by better graphics is that the Vista is in high def (or so it appears) it looks like your looking threw a window. Its amazing it has a very noticeable difference from XP graphics to Vista graphics.

that is still the same as they said, it would probably require more of the pc to keep running while using such fancy looks, and that is why people who are games or who need strong pcs normally disable such graphics anyway.

If you PC is newer it should support Vista I have a computer that is 4-5 years old and Vista runs perfectly with it. I have had no diffrence in PC speed because of graphics.

I'm contented with my XP and I have no plans in upgrading any time soon. Perhaps next year. :)

when putting a clean install it probably wont matter for some time, but it does affect and i am talking not only from my experience, but from many people’s, and how fast is your pc since it is 5 years old? thats like a very big jump, you must have bought it for too much if it can support vista after being so old.

No it wasn't very expensive. Was my moms at one point. I recommend visiting The Windows Vista Forums they are very knowledgeable about Vista and you can find pretty much anything about Vista from there. You do not need to be a Vista user to join.

This is the question I have been wondering.
Is really worth to get Windows Vista? I saw many screenshots and read many opinions, but I'm not so sure if I want to upgrade, it's seems to be the same Windows XP with different name and more expensive.

this is what this topic is all about, we are giving our opinions and discussing the matter, and i can see that many think it is useless for now unless you like fancy graphics. ofcourse one would have to switch sooner or later, but when that time comes, the pcs would run vista like it is nothing, and vista would be more stable anyway.
