disclaimer: I haven't tried this yet but thought I'd share this website I stumbled upon.
10 Minute Mail This lets you have a temporary 10 minute email address to help you access things without being on a zillion spam lists. As an admin, I'm not crazy about these as undeliverable announcements due to these types of self destructing emails clog up my inbox and result in my banning the user if they use these *but* as a surfer who sometimes needs information I have to subscribe to in order to get..I can see how some people might find these useful for some types of sites. ;) Dana

Nice! Anytime I want to submit my email to something that I know will include my email on spam lists, I go to one of the many sites I maintain and create a garbage email address in their control panel. I use that email until I see the spam start rolling, then I delete it and create another.
I never use any of my main emails to sign up for anything suspiciously flavoured.

I always used my hotmail account but since that was my first real email address I do still have to read it occasionally because sometimes I get real e-mails in there. Wish I'd known about this 10 minute thing eons ago :)

I like Gmail's anti spam feature. You can easily mark an incoming email as spam. Moreover, you can create a query which can block incoming mails given some parameters to satisfy.

I have hundreds of spam emails daily, thankfully gmail does filter the major amout of them, but still some do sneak in, maybe more advanced spam like job offers or even better - job approvals, to which of course i never applied. blatant junk like viagra, diets, etc goes to trash in both yahoo and google mail. msn, however, will not filter junk mails to junk folder even if u will report the same email address as spam 10 times! serious.

Your Cpanel has a built in anti spam application. You just activate the application (Spam Assasin) as your first line of defense against spam. Of course you use this if you create an email account using your own domain name.
