Does it seem secure and reliable to you?

I'm in an area without dsl yet (so miss the high speed I had before I moved here...)and am considering this option but am a little leary becuase of some negative things I've heard.

My old boss got wireless a couple years ago. Because of where he lived (in a slight valley) he has to construct a 25 foot tower in order to get a connection.

As far as speed, it's not DSL, but is better than dialup. As far as reliability, I don't remember him complaining at all.

I read in our local paper last week that they were going up the coast of Sturgeon with fibre optic cable.
Unfortuantely, I'm on the opposite side of the lake :(
I'm so sure the minute I invest in wireless or line of sight, bell canada will be available. It's so rough doing the wah thing on dial up though. I'm just aching for high speed. If I'd never had it I wouldn't know what I was missing.
This is probably the 12th post I've complained about my slow connection, lol. I will be doing the happy dance when this changes!!

Well, if you get high speed, then you will be able to take a video of your happy dance and send it all over the world in the blink of an eye. Then you can listen to the poor dialup people complaining about how long it took to download.

We still have an open LAN port over here if you can find enough network cable. LOL

Yes. i have wireless connection and the speed also awesome !! My laptop also have wireless function and i can use anywhere. I can see movie and clip very fast today than i'm using dial up before.

I too have a wireless connection but the stuff in not secured. That leaves the entire issue of privacy open to public domain.

here in my country wireless internet is costly and i can't afford it , i heard that it is a fast internet connection and secure too, when i will buy laptop, i try to buy wireless internet connection too.
