Default First computer?

What was your first computer?
Ours was an Amiga by Commodore and it was awesome..lol. It was the late 80's/early nineties and we were the envy of everyone.
but it didn't have a hard drive, you had to use a kick start and workbench diskette regularly to get it to do anything and it was very advanced graphics wise...
When we shopped for our first replacement for it, we looked at a ps/2 386sx but my husband wanted a 386 DX. LOL.

First one I ever got my hands on was my grandpa's eMachine he had back in like 2001. I knew nothing about computers and just chatted on MSN with it. I eventually got into web design and graphics in about 2002 and ran Photoshop 6 on it, lol. First one I bought myself was an eMachine back in like 2003, still didn't know anything about computers, so I don't wanna hear it :P After it, I built my first rig, which was based arround an AthlonXP 2500+ and it taught me a lot about computers. Upgraded it a few times then built my last rig which is in New Orleans right now...

I had an Amiga 500. It was definately the best machine for graphics/audio in its day.

But the first computer I owned was:

OLD-COMPUTERS.COM : The Museum

LOL, the hires graphics screen was 184 x 176. Ran at a little over 1 Mhz with 5K of RAM (3583 bytes free after video and OS)

An old AST machine in 1996
First time I'd ever used a computer and I still thought it was really slow...lol
It always crashed, and no-one in the family had any idea how to use it properly, I just played old games on it (asteroids, centipede, millipede, some other random games)

The first computer I have used was built by my brother, it was p3 and 64 ram.
as I was younger back then and I knew nothing about computers it was like a wonder.

I really dont remember that much about our first computer because I was really little but I remember it being a gateway and it was a pretty good computer.
