It's very different and much more simpler. Once I started to use my mac, I've never liked to use my windows anymore

@mozza: i heard before that you don't have to install applications (eg. word processor) and that you just need the executable file making application sharing easier. is this true?

I don't use mac either, it is a bit hard to use it down here as there almost no one is using it, windows is the king. I tried to work on mac in high scholl as we have one there, but gave it up.

I am saving up some side money and investing in the newest apple laptop. I have used the Imac computer before, its ok. I want the lap top though, because I will be able to use programs such as Imovie (the main reason I want it.)

i own a powerbook g4 17"... amazing to say the least. i personally have used both systems and i can honestly say that i prefer the mac osx over windows. osx has a much cleaner look, the funtions are much more logical, and most importantly osx is virus free!

hmm as i'm new to mac too, I cant answer this question..

but installation/uninstallation of applications is a breeze. Just drag and drop will do :) As for sharing of applications, all mac applications are packed in .dmg format. similar to windows' .exe format
