Have you made money blogging

I have read that a lot of people find it hard to make any worthwhile revenue through blogs. Have anyone done well with blogs?

I don't think there's much money in blogging unless you've got a blog with a fan base. If you want to make a blog to make money, I suggest you be controversial, active, and personal. Most blogs don't get much attention, but it's because they offer information that can be found elsewhere and don't have enough personality and controversy.

I was mainly just curious. My blog wasn't set up to make money. Of course, I haven't been active on my blog in a long time with too much else to do.

You need to have a very unique idea to make some good money from a blog and to post on regular times. So you would make a good amount of money.

The first tip in making money on your blog is by finding your niche.
you have to do something that gets your readers to visit you regularly.
The second thing is to learn a bit about Search Engine Optimization so you get relevant ads.
You want your blog content to peak the curiousity of the reader enough that they'll want to click those ads.
I use my blog index as a resume for my freelance writing and that's gotten me jobs.
I also do paid blog ads as well as several affiliate programs so yes, I'm making money by blogging.

Agree, if you have a big enough fanbase then its possible to earn some serious money through blogging.. Maybe its ok to make an intresting story if something Really intresting is'nt happening with your personal life itself ;)
