How many posts on your main page

I was wondering how many posts, or even how long is a good length to let the main blog page get. Personally I have been keeping mine to about the length of two full scrolls.

It might be better Search Engine Optimization wise to give not only the user but the search engines more content. Perhaps 3 to 4 full scrolls worth of content.

I have around 5 posts on the homepage.

Maybe only 3-4 post only because i always make long post for every post i post at my blog. Its really long and i like it that style of posting.
