Pings For WordPress
I've been told that a pinging option should automatically be available in the standard version of WordPress. Unfortunately, I started using WordPress with a version given to me by my host, who seems to have somehow disabled that. I don't have the 'services' option under the 'options' field. Is there a plug-in to enable this? Or, do you know something else I can do?
I don't want to miss out on this marketing function. Why would the host disable it?

You should have that option.
What host are you using? Contact them and ask them to enable it. If it is Wordpress.com, then this is taken care of automatically.
