What's up guys,

Here is a good question for ya: What is wordpress suing to get such a high rep for Search Engine Optimization waht methods are inside? I've found a couple so far but I don't think I've scratched the surface. I know the alt image thing is mandatory, and of course the title for links, and rel function. But what do you guys think how do they do it?

Are you talking wordpress.com or running your wordpress blog?

Regarding title and rel and alt, those are part of XHTML based design and isn't related to wordpress. I make sure all my sites use the title and alt attributes correctly.
Good wordpress templates come with it.

What really helps running a wordpress blog and keeping it active is the fact that it can ping Ping-O-Matic which ensures that your blog post is spread widely across the internet.

Also, you should make sure you have permalinks activated. The keywords automatically get listed in the search results because of this.

I think we are talking about creating a blog using wordpress script and not on wordpress.com sites.

Yeah wordpress.com doesn't really give you that many options.

I have also wondered the same thing too becasue whenever I search and I find a blog it is always a wordpress blog. It may be becasue it is the most used product but I think it is becasue of the built in Search Engine Optimization feature.

I think they are still using plug-ins to make that possible, that is i wanted to know, or maybe diddy1 also wants to know.

But wordpress.com blogs are greatly optimised for Search Engine Optimization. Those people at the mgt team are experts. My wp.com blog gets great Page Ranking, even though i spent zero effort at building backlinks and stuff..

I guess it is because all the sites are a part of WordPress.com

Yeah websites with a parent domain who already has a high Page Ranking tend to get a high PR easily. Just look at the many blogspot blogs out there. The secret if you ask me would be to analize the index of the blog itself both on th einternet and the actual file itself. And see what kinds of out this world code there is in there. Also it wouldn't hurt to know what kind of plugins successful wordpress blogs are using.
