I was wondering whether its possible to create an xls template in excel and allow users to upload that template into the web server and that will automatically fill up the SQL database accordingly..i hope you guys can help me in this..or is there any other solution...<br />kaarthik<br />

Yes, its possible by creating VBA codes on your excel template. The first thing you have to do is create a connection to your database through DSN, then create a command button or event that will make an "INSERT" SQL statements per cell from the excel sheet to your database.
