Domain appraisal
I am just wondering about this thing and confused sometimes, before asking some appraisal thing, should your domain have already a site in? Was is worth counting even if you just put a 1 page html index file? Does it increase value?

Having a website will give your domain more value, If you need to sell the domain, good name, old domain, good page rank, good listings and traffic all will increase your price, but If you have a full website to sell, that is another story.

Like thebookish said, all the extras will increase the price. If all you have is a domain, then it is usually worth about the price of an unregistered domain. What makes a domain valuable is extras, such as traffic, pre-existing page-rank, link popularity, etc.
