It is quite time consuming to submit your sites to various popular directories. Is there a free application which can automate the process? It is not what I have been looking for but Roboform can be help in the submission of sites to directories.

it is not advisable to do it in automated way, you most likely not be accepted, better yet have some sweat submitting and you will see the result

I assume you mean to say those automation software that do auto submission, yeh, there are couple of softwares to to that, but not sure how efficient they are.

There are some people on internet and they offer auto submissions for money.I`vent tried them yet but i think it can be usefull for time saving.

Auto submission is a waste of time. Quality directories reject these submissions as they are quite obvious. The ones that do accept you have very low standards and thus will give you no benefit anyway. Take your time to make quality submissions to quality directories and the extra work will pay off.
