Default Translation Tools: Google or Altavista?

You know both Search engines offer Translation tools for your website for free. So, I wanted to ask you, what do you prefer to use: Google or Altavista translation tools? Why?

I use Altavista - but only for the translation, else as a SE, its not worth anything. I like it because I've been using it since a long time now and have gotten used to it.

both can do simple tasks, i prefer google though because it supports a larger list of languages than altavista.

I don't like any of the translation services. They tend to do a bad job and I've seen too many instances where they got it way wrong.

Altavista is my translator of choice. It seems to work really well and translates pretty decently.

I don't like auto translators because they are not perfect at all. Its better to find a professional translator by paying few bucks. A few great sites to hire freelance translators are proz.com and translatorscafe.com

I do not trust translation by auto translators thats why I always hire a freelance translator from different translation websites like proz and translatorscafe. Its better to spend few bucks to get quality content instead of the one which is full of mistakes.

I prefer altavista since google tends to translate full sentences wrong.
