It is not a news but when I check dmoz now, it seems they are now accepting new submission again. But still finding hard to have the sites submitted to be accepted.

DMOZ is a waste of your time... unless you have the next Amazon or MySpace, you most likely won't get listed! Plus with all of the problems they have been having lately, I wonder if they will be around much longer!
That site is a wasteland of outdated info! |

While DMOZ has been regarded as the wholy grail by all webmasters and Search Engine Optimization firms, I have never had any luck getting any of my sites listed there. Some of my sites are probably not worthy, but I do have one or two that I would have thought to be more than good enough for inclusion.
I have just given up... if they ever list me great but if they don't than who cares. It is the only attitude you can have without getting totaly frustrated. |

I would rather have my sites listed in Wikipedia than in DMOZ. This so called public directory DMOZ is playing hard to get as if those sites in the list are sacred cows.
