Which directories do you spend time submitting to? Many of them cost money now, between $10 and $500 a year, how many do you focus on?

I just check directories with High Page Ranking but offering free submission or free submission with reciprocal, I dont have money to pay those paid directories. And yes it takes a couple of days, which is why Search Engine Optimization consultants are expensive. But I suggest you hire someone you to do it for you.

I use dmoz and jade most of the time. They do pretty well.

While I don't submit to paid directories (just because I'm cheap), here is a list of free directories I maintain... haven't updated it for about two months now but most should still be good!

I submit my blogs to only free directories or with a link back. I have no money to spend on silly paid directories which is nothing better than a quality high Page Ranking free directory.
