What was the first search engine you regularly used? When? Assuming you don't still use it, when did you stop? Why did you stop?

For me it was netscape at work and AOL at home.
I thought netscape was way better than IE.
Today my preference is Firefox.
I stopped using AOL becuase I changed ISPs, I stopped using Netscape at work because my co. standardized on IE and heard good things about Firefox so decided to give it a go.

The first search engine I used on a regular basis was Alta Vista and I stopped using it because it shut down or a while. By the time it came back, I discovered Google.

I used to use AlltheWeb before, simply because it was my homepage. Then I found AltaVista and I loved the video search function...however, now I'm stuck with Google, and I'm very indifferent and bored with it.

I used Google. Sometimes I use Yahoo and Live. Occasionally I use MSN as it is default search engine in my IE browser

I prefer Google as well but Alta Vista was my number 1.:)
