Default Any member site listed in DMOZ
Is there any member here whose site is listed in dmoz? How long before your site was accepted?

I've got one on a Page Ranking 6 page near the top. I e-mailed the editor and had a chat with him about it. He ended up running the same kind of site so he was interested in my travels around the world. He gave me a link on the DMOZ page, plus a link on his site.

interesting, so the fastest thing to be included in the dmoz is email the editor? Because it takes ages for your site to be listed in dmoz by using their submit page.

The chances of getting a cool editor are slim, but it does happen. I didn't even submit the site using the form. I just went straight to the editor and as luck would have it... he answered.

I got quite a few sites in DMOZ including my blog. But, I think DMOZ is long since dead.
Then again I could be wrong.

I notice the site seems to get crawled more often, but I don't think the DMOZ listing helps at all when it comes to rank in the SERPS.
