I would go a step further and say submit your site to the proper category and then forget all about it. It can take 6 months, a year, or even longer depending on the category.

Good point. Best thing would be to submit. If it gets listed then great, if not, then well, you tried!

Tats true.. They ask you to fill a big form. You'll also have to add two sample sites along with the title, description, etc .. And they are mean most often :(

True, they were very harsh to me when I applied to become an editor for them. I had no problem filling out their form, submitting two sample sites, writing up the description etc...

Then when they did finally get back to me after about 6 months they were very nasty to me. They did finally offer me the position and I refused. I figured if they were going to be that nasty to me as an applicant then they were not worth my time.
