Is it illegal to Cache images in local server

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if it's against the main affiliates' (LS, CJ..) regulations to store images/logos of the companies locally on the web server as opposed to having them on the source server. A page with many image based link is horribly slow especially during peak hours of the day. There has got to be some provision that allows people to store the logos and/or other product images locally. I've seen sites that do that.

Any ideas ??

Well, the content doesn't belong to cj or ls. The content belongs to the company who posted the banner, typically.

I'd say yes, it's ok.

All and all, if you deliver results, the affiliate managers are typically not going to care. It would be very rare but yeah, sometimes you find the uptight ones.

I don't see why they'd have an issue with it. You might want to contact them about it just to verify.
