Believe in the products or services your promote
If you are joining an affiliate program in which you will be paid commissions for sending people to a website, make sure you really trust the business you are promoting. Do you think they offer quality products and services?

Absolutely!
If you believe in what you are selling it will be completely natural for you to be able to sell and earn your commission. If a company excites you, it's a great idea to join their affiliate program!

It's also a good idea to look beyond the major companies and seek out businesses that have fresh ideas and new products. If you're excited about them, your visitors probably will be as well.

Also, if the company provides poor products and/or poor service, your customers may blame you. A great way to offend people and lose your credit is by referring them to a bad product.
