Much much much better community. Which I actually understand. I worked for a MS company for couple of months and what MS doing so called tech support is unbelievable! (it was not like this before, though). You have to pay money for their techsupport... I just didn't get it. I already paid $3000 for the software... why should I pay for more tech support?
okay, let's say I paid $250 for some stupid setup. And somebody asks me how did I do it? Am I gonna tell the person a "secret" which cost me $250??? probably NOT!
The other thing is that Linux is not necessarily cheaper or free (as free program)
I picked Linux simply because I don't have to wait bugfixes for months and I can run my the newest distrib on my 600MHz laptop with 128Mb RAM. (try this with a WinXP or Vista ;) ) hehe
