Problem
During installation, the Informix datasource environment variables: INFORMIXDIR and INFORMIXSERVER were set in sqllib/cfg/db2dj.ini file. When a create nickname was attempted, a SQL30061N error was posted.
SQL30061N The database alias or database name "infx db" was not found
at the remote node. SQLSTATE=08004

Cause
INFORMIX DBPATH variable was not in db2dj.ini file. Include this parameter in the .ini file and the error goes away.
