yeah this happened to me too. if you type ipconfig or try to ping a computer you'll get a "not valid command" error. like what SMS said, just add those 2 paths to your PATH.

just in case, right-click My Computer, click Properties.
go to Advanced tab and click the "Environment Variables" button.
you should see the PATH on the (second) listbox . click it and click EDIT. then add those 2 paths.

in my case, this is what i added:
;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%

each path is separated by semi-colon.
