How did you learn HTML? Did you want to learn it, or did you pick up in a quasi-accidental way?

For me, it was more of the latter. I grew up around computers and the internet. So, I learned HTML the same way I learned how to speak: without trying. Of course, since then I have often consulted the W3C standards and other designers to further refine my skills.

I taught myself other languages - such as CSS, JavaScript, and PHP - by reading online tutorials and asking questions in forums.

What about you? How did you learn?

Are you glad you did? I sure am!
